Steps to set up and use Google Authenticator with your MyID account:
Step 1: Install the App
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your mobile device.
Search for Google Authenticator and download the application.
Open the app and sign in using your personal or outside Google Account.
Step 2: Request/Setup MFA
Open a web browser on your computer and log in to your MyID account.
Navigate to the Security, Authentication, or MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) settings page.
Select Google Authenticator as your preferred MFA method.
Click the option to set up or request a new authenticator app. A QR code will be displayed on your computer screen.
Step 3: Scan the QR Code
Open the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device.
Tap the plus (+) sign located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Select Scan a QR code from the menu options.
Point your mobile device's camera at the QR code displayed on your computer screen to link your MyID account.
Step 4: Complete Verification (Optional)
Once scanned, the app will display a 6-digit verification code for MyID that refreshes every 30 seconds.
Enter this code into the prompt on your computer browser to verify and finalize the setup.

Note: Whenever you are prompted for MFA when logging into MyID in the future, open the Google Authenticator app on your phone and enter the current 6-digit code.
